We decided to help out Lise Beals and take one of her cats. It turned out to be a difficult choice as there were a lot of great cats there. Monte had a history of supposedly being aggressive towards children and he spent over a year of his short life in a cage. It turns out we were the lucky ones.
We have some good cats but Monte is clearly exceptional. He is affectionate and head buts. He is very gentle and he is social and always happy to see us. He loves to have his tummy rubbed and he doesn’t care if you play with his feet. I think Monte’s well adjusted nature has a lot to do with how Lise cared for him.
We thought a new cat would be disruptive but it has not been too difficult. It has been really enjoyable and we hope our friends will be fortunate enough to get a cat from Lise.
